USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold medalist, Manfred Lewis is back on the horse scene after a 5 year hiatus pursuing his other passion of photography. Rising Fawn Equestrian Center is proud to welcome him to the farm! Manfred has trained and competed four horses through the Grand Prix level including local Georgia favorites such as Idora (Leanna Dick, owner) and Mandamus (Karen McGoldrick, owner). Mandamus was ranked 2002 3rd place Grand Prix Freestyle champion with aa 71% average and USDF 2003 Holsteiner "Horse of the Year" at Grand Prix. Manfred was also a 1994 Olympic Festival Team member and joined the ranks of the USET Developing Rider list. He has also ridden and trained numerous horses/rider combinations to many national championships. Manfred's experienced teachers such as Jan Ebling, Felicitas von Neumann-Cosel, Michelle Gibson and especially Robert Dover have embedded only the strongest influence of correct and classical basics and the importance of correct balance and positioning of both horse and rider. Manfred has also had the priviledge of riding with many dressage "artists" such as Reiner Klimke, Kyra Kirkland, Willie Schultheise, Henk von Bergen, George Theodorescu, Uwe Steiner, Betsy Steiner, Egbert Kraak, and Jessica Ranssenhausen. Along with his new mount, Uma Corwin, Manfred proudly joins the training staff at Rising Fawn Equestrian Center.
